JAMILA SHAGAIYE MANTILE

Jamila joined the scholarship program in September 2023 as a first-year student at Moi University, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health and is expected to complete her studies in April 2027 and graduate later in the same year.

Jamila was born in Chumvi village, Mukogodo East Ward, Laikipia North Sub-County, Laikipia County where she still lives with her parents and seven siblings. The third born carries out household chores like cleaning utensils, washing clothes, cooking, and looking after their homestead. She is interested in learning about the human body and health as relates to human holistic health.

In the next 10 she aspires to have become a professional in her field and a role model to youth and contributing to the development of her community.
