Ibrahim joined the scholarship program in January 2023 in his first year of study at Chuka University where he is undertaking a Bachelor of Education (Arts). He is currently in his Second year and is expected to complete his studies in April 2026 and graduate later in the same year.
Ibrahim was born in Segera ward, in Laikipia North Sub-County, Laikipia County. The sixth born in a family of nine lost his father at the age of 11 and now lives with his mother and siblings. Growing up, he assisted his family with household chores and as he grew up, worked casual jobs to assist his mother to meet their daily needs.
Ibrahim developed interest in football as a young boy and continues to enjoy the game to date. In ten years’ time, he aspires to become a model teacher and pursue further studies to enable him give back to society.
Ibrahim says, “DMLF has given me hope for a brighter future after completing my studies which will give me a chance to give back to society and guide someone succeed in their life.”
